SELECTED POEMS

if i am cynical blame the sun

there is no moment of regret
and death cannot be undone
like a zipper by a tug.
if i am cynical blame the sun, ivy

we have lived our lives alone
and found no one else to blame,
nights have grown to days and gone
far from dead or dying love.

we have turned our eyes away
too many times to pretend
it was fun.
