BIOGRAPHY

蔡深江(1965-),新加坡人,祖籍中国潮州潮安。毕业于台湾大学中国文学系、南洋理工大学国立教育学院,目前为新传媒中文新闻与时事总编辑。曾任《联合早报》采访组和政治组记者、言论组和采访组主任、《联合晚报》总编辑等等。蔡曾创办纯文学杂志《风见鸡》(1990-1991)及《后来》(1994-1995)。1987年获金狮奖诗歌组第一名及优胜奖、1990年获台湾《中国时报》文学奖及吴鲁芹散文奖。1991年获金狮奖散文组第一。2006年获选为世界经济论坛(WEF)全球青年领袖(Young Global Leader)。

Chua Chim Kang (b. 1965) is a Singaporean writer who traces his ancestral origins to the Chao’an region in Guangdong. He graduated from the Department of Chinese Literature of the National Taiwan University and the National Institute of Education (NIE), Singapore. He currently serves as the Chief Editor of Chinese News & Current Affairs at Mediacorp. Before this, Chua was a journalist with the Interviews and Politics teams at Lianhe Zaobao before heading their Forum and Interview editorial. He later served as Chief Editor of Lianhe Wanbao.

Chua founded the literary magazines Feng Jian Ji (1990-1991) and Afterwards (1994-1995). Chua received the Golden Lion Literary Award for poetry in 1987, the China Times Literary Award and Lucian Wu Essay Prize in Taiwan in 1990, and the Golden Lion Literary Award for essays in 1991. Chua was also chosen as a young global leader at the World Economic Forum in 2006.
