Dimana kau sukmaku

Di kabus tebal ini
aku mencari akan kau sukmaku
yang hilang diantara gemerlapan
lampu-lampu jalanan.

Dimanakah kau sukmaku
di puncak menara
atau di ranting cemara
atau dikesibukan jentera-jentera arus kehidupan.

Aku yang terlantar kekaburan
tergoda oleh kegelitaan malam
dan
kau terus menyembunyi
langsung membuat aku sendiri
dalam perjalanan ini.

Where Are You, My Soul

In this thick fog
I search for you, my soul
lost among the luminous
street lights.

Where are you, my soul
at the tower’s top
or on the casuarina
Or in the bustle of mechanised life?

Abandoned in a haze
I was tempted by the darkness of night
and
you always hide from me
making me desolate
in this journey.
